砂拉越总理拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿邦佐哈里说，保护区总面积约1,045公顷，包括现有的301公顷，以及新增的744公顷。
他说，区内不会有大型发展项目。政府只会规划一些小型休闲设施和基本便利设施，让公众可以使用，同时保留自然环境。
武吉利玛自然保护区也已获得马来西亚纪录大全认可，成为我国最大的城市泥炭沼泽保护区。
对诗巫来说，这是城市里的大型绿肺。它不只是休闲空间，也能同时发挥环境保护和教育价值。

Bukit Lima Nature Reserve in Sibu is set to be gazetted as Malaysia's largest protected urban peat swamp nature reserve.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the protected area will cover about 1,045 hectares, made up of the existing 301 hectares and another 744 hectares.
He said major development will not be allowed inside the reserve. Only small-scale facilities for recreation and basic amenities are planned.
The reserve has also been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the country's largest protected urban peat swamp nature reserve.
For Sibu, this is a big green lung right inside an urban area. It also gives Sarawak another conservation asset that can support education, recreation and environmental protection at the same time.

Sarawak says it is moving closer to producing a new semiconductor chip that can split light without generating heat.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the chip is part of Sarawak's push into the new economy and advanced semiconductor work.
He said Sarawak is developing a gallium nitride-based chip, a material he described as better than silicon for this purpose. The design work, he added, is being handled by Sarawakian talent.
Abang Johari also said Sarawak is working on the world's first storage disk using a glass substrate instead of silicon.
This is not just another factory announcement. If the plan moves as described, Sarawak wants to be known for designing high-value tech products, not only hosting industrial projects.

A Kuching person with disabilities has urged AirBorneo Airways to introduce special fares and stronger accessibility support for passengers with disabilities.
Tan Chun Sheng said concessionary fares could reduce the extra financial burden faced by PwDs, especially those who need more assistance when travelling.
He also suggested priority seating near aircraft doors or exits, so boarding and disembarkation can be easier and safer.
Tan said affordable fares should go together with accessible facilities and passenger-friendly policies, so PwDs can travel safely, comfortably and with dignity.
His call comes as AirBorneo prepares to open ticket sales for its Kuching-Singapore route on July 13 at 10am. The route is scheduled to start flights on July 22, in conjunction with Sarawak Day.

Kuching Port Authority says congestion at Senari Terminal has been resolved, while expansion works are moving ahead to support heavier cargo movement.
The Sarawak Manufacturers Association and Kuching Port Authority met in a recent dialogue to discuss logistics issues affecting manufacturers and exporters.
KPA said vessel calls rose sharply in April and May 2026 compared with the same period last year. Container throughput also climbed, with April and May recording 27,461 TEUs and 31,686 TEUs respectively.
Manufacturers rely on smoother cargo clearance, stable vessel turnaround times and better shipping information to plan production and exports.
KPA is now working on an additional 250-metre berth, targeted for completion by the end of 2028. It also plans to raise container yard capacity by another 200,000 TEUs per year by the end of 2027.
SMA also proposed direct access to KPA's cargo e-tracking system and monthly import-export statistics so members can plan shipments faster.

我觉得它最吃时间点。白天可以看清楚整座建筑的形状、砂拉越旗和河景；傍晚屋顶颜色会比较暖；晚上灯一亮，加上河面倒影，整个 Waterfront 的 feel 会直接不同。
我查了几个来源，评价也差不多是这个方向。Trip.com 上 15 个 review 给到 4.9/5，有游客提到它在古晋市区很多角度都看得到，白天晚上都漂亮，不过不是随便开放给公众进去参观。Wanderlog 汇总的 Google 评分是 4.7/5、245 个 review，很多人重点也是河边景色、夕阳、Darul Hana Bridge 角度，还有它更适合拍照和外观欣赏。DBKU 官方资料则确认它位于 Petra Jaya，在 The Astana 和 Fort Margherita 之间，2009 年 7 月 27 日启用，那个像 umbrella 的屋顶也是砂拉越标志性设计之一。
小提醒：不要把它当成 museum 行程来排。它是政府建筑，重点不是进去参观，而是在外面找角度。比较顺的玩法是：Waterfront 散步、拍 DUN、走 Darul Hana Bridge，再接 Fort Margherita 或 Kampung Boyan 找吃。

You know that one building across the Sarawak River that every Kuching visitor ends up photographing? Yep, the big umbrella-shaped one.
The Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building, or DUN Sarawak, is not really a "walk inside and explore every room" kind of attraction. It is more like Kuching's postcard background: best enjoyed from the Waterfront, Darul Hana Bridge, the river taxi, or the opposite bank when the light hits nicely.

What I like about it is the timing game. Daytime gives you the full shape, the Sarawak flag, and the river view. Sunset is when the roof starts to look warmer. At night, with the lights and reflection, it suddenly feels like the whole riverfront changed mood.
A few visitor notes line up with that. Trip.com reviewers rate it 4.9/5 from 15 reviews and one visitor said it is visible from much of the city centre, beautiful in both day and night, but not open for casual public entry. Wanderlog also lists it as a 4.7/5 Google-rated spot from 245 reviews, with people highlighting the riverside setting, sunset view, Darul Hana Bridge connection, and the fact that it is more for admiring and photographing than wandering inside. DBKU's own page confirms it sits in Petra Jaya between The Astana and Fort Margherita, opened on 27 July 2009, and that the umbrella-like roof is one of Sarawak's iconic monuments.
Small reality check: do not come expecting a museum visit. This is an active government building. The better plan is simple: walk the Waterfront, cross Darul Hana Bridge if you want the closer angle, take photos, then continue to Fort Margherita or Kampung Boyan for food.

Kampung Sejijak 和 Kampung Paroh 两项河滨工程已经获批，总额估计 RM4400万。

古晋南市市长拿督黄鸿圣表示，Pay and Go 系统目前是朝向全砂统一停车付款系统的一部分。

Sarawak is working towards one smart parking app that can be used statewide.
Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng said the Pay and Go system is currently part of that move towards a unified parking payment setup.
The long-term target is simple: one app for public and private parking, first in Kuching, then wider areas such as Padawan and Kota Samarahan once the system is stable.
Public complaints have been raised over parking penalties and system glitches.
Wee said users should first submit complaints to Pay and Go, the appointed contractor. If the issue is not resolved, MBKS can take it up.
He also said suggestions such as a five- to 10-minute grace period can be considered.

According to DayakDaily, the RPR Batu Kawa project will upgrade front and rear drains in phases. Roads along the affected lanes will be resurfaced after the drainage work is completed.
Deputy Premier and Batu Kawa assemblyman Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian said the upgrades are needed because rapid development, heavier rainfall and older drainage systems have made flash flood issues harder to manage.

伊斯兰文物馆不是那种进去拍两张照就会很 wow 的大型博物馆。它比较像一个安静的小停靠点：老校舍、抬高地板、内院、旧建筑的味道，加上展厅不大，适合慢慢看。
砂拉越博物馆局资料写到，这栋建筑最早是 James Brooke Malay College，1930 年成为 Madrasah Melayu Sarawak，后来在 1992 年 5 月 22 日开幕为 Sarawak Islamic Heritage Museum。里面分成七个展区，内容包括伊斯兰传入马来群岛、建筑、科学与文学、音乐服饰、武器、装饰艺术和 Al-Quran 展区。
砂拉越旅游局也把它归在文化景点，重点是看伊斯兰在砂拉越的历史影响、手稿、文物，还有本地穆斯林社群对这里发展的贡献。简单讲，如果你喜欢有本地味道的小型文化馆，这里比外观看起来更值得停一下。
Tripadvisor 的游客评价大概也是这个方向：喜欢历史文化的人会觉得馆藏不错、蛮有意思；但如果期待大型现代展馆，可能会觉得它比较简单。所以我会把它当成 30 到 60 分钟的小行程，不要用婆罗洲文化博物馆那种规模来比较。
HolidayGoGoGo 提到这里离 Kuching Waterfront 大概 12 分钟步行，而且免费入场。所以如果你已经在 Padang Merdeka、老博物馆区、Waterfront 一带，它很适合顺路加进去。

Muzium Warisan Islam is not the kind of place where you rush in, take two photos and leave. The nice part is the old-school feeling: raised floor, inner courtyards, quiet galleries, and that slightly hidden Kuching heritage trail vibe.
The Sarawak Museum Department says the building started as James Brooke Malay College, later became Madrasah Melayu Sarawak in 1930, and was opened as the Islamic Heritage Museum on 22 May 1992. Inside, the seven galleries cover the coming of Islam to the Malay Archipelago, architecture, science and literature, music and costumes, weaponry, decorative arts and the Al-Quran corner.
Sarawak Tourism Board describes it as a place to understand the history and influence of Islam in Sarawak, with religious artefacts, manuscripts and exhibits about local contributions. In plain words: if you like small museums with real local context, this is more interesting than it looks from outside.
Tripadvisor feedback is mostly the same mood: visitors who enjoy history and culture say the collections are impressive, while others treat it as a short, simple stop. I think that is fair. Do not expect a huge modern museum like Borneo Cultures Museum. Come for 30 to 60 minutes, slow down, read a bit, and enjoy the building.
HolidayGoGoGo also notes that it is around a 12-minute walk from Kuching Waterfront and entry is free. That makes it an easy add-on if you are already around Padang Merdeka, the old museum area, or the city centre.
