Police seized 25kg of suspected methamphetamine in MJC Batu Kawah, with a 63-year-old man arrested. Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zainal Abdullah said the suspect was inside an SUV when police found the drugs, believed to be methamphetamine. What police said Police believe the man was acting as a runner for a drug trafficking syndicate. He tested negative for drugs, but police said he had previous records under the Entertainment Ordinance and the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953. The suspect has been remanded until Thursday. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. Sarawak commercial crime cases went up sharply in the first half of this year, with losses now at RM90.4 million. That is a 36.31% increase from 1,856 cases in the same period last year.
