Wind Cave is the stop I would choose when a Bau day needs a cooler, darker counterpoint to Fairy Cave. The road from Kuching takes roughly 30–45 minutes, and the car park brings you close to the entrance; the real preparation is remembering that the cave is unlit.

The reserve protects more than scenery. Its limestone hill shelters rare palms, 14 recorded bat species, swiftlets and snails found only in this local cave habitat.
