Politeknik Kuching 宿舍床褥破烂、房间不能住的照片在 Facebook 上被疯传，引发网民震怒，连砂副教育部长也亲自到场查看。
砂拉越教育、创新及人才发展部副部长 Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee 在6月22日得知消息后马上赶到 Politeknik Kuching 了解情况。
到底发生什么事？
- Facebook 群组「Sarawak Awareness Group (No Ads)」上传多张宿舍照片 — 床褥破洞、床架生锈、环境恶劣
- 古晋理工学院今年 收生人数从1,200人暴增至1,600人
- 超过40间宿舍房因为安全和设施问题不能使用
- UPU 大学中心单位分配的学额太多，理工学院来不及准备
副部长的回应：
「不是要怪谁。重点是所有相关单位都要负责任，确保 Politeknik Kuching 发生的事情不会在砂拉越任何一间学校重演。」理工学院已在6月23日向高等教育部（MOHE）提交正式申请，要求加速维修和提升设施。
