古晋湿地公园将设百亩鳄鱼保护区 解决人鳄冲突

砂拉越政府计划在古晋湿地公园设立一个占地约100英亩的鳄鱼保护区，专门安置从住宅区捕获的鳄鱼，同时解决日益严重的人鳄冲突问题。
砂拉越城市规划、土地管理与环境部副部长拿督连达立夫表示，政府已在古晋湿地公园范围内选定一片约100英亩的地段，并将兴建围栏防止鳄鱼离开保护区范围。
任何从住宅区迁移的鳄鱼都会被送到这里安置。
这项宣布跟上周 古晋河滨公园 出现鳄鱼捕食鸽子的影片有关。该视频在网上疯传，引发民众对公共安全的担忧。
其他鳄鱼保护区地点包括：
- 中央区： 斯杜古岛（Pulau Seduku）、鲁巴河（Batang Lupar）、拉让红树林国家公园
- 北砂区： 实务的（Sibuti）、老越（Lawas）、林梦（Limbang）
砂拉越林业机构（SFC）目前已展开鳄鱼迁移行动，针对对长屋及甘榜居民构成威胁的鳄鱼进行捕捉。
连达立夫也提醒民众保持警惕，遵守警示牌，并使用 Sarawak Croc Watch 手机应用举报鳄鱼出没。
