高庭9月3日裁定，无需传召5名被告答辩，5人获判无罪并当庭释放。这宗案件从2023年10月的逮捕与控状算起，已接近3年。
控状指5人于2023年10月12日中午12时30分，在南香街附近一间酒店共同涉及42.2公斤冰毒贩运，援引1952年危险毒品法令第39B(1)(a)条文，并与刑法典第34条文同读。
这项裁决并非服刑期满，而是控方证据不足以要求被告提出答辩。指控最终没有成为定罪；截至裁决公布时，控方是否采取进一步法律行动尚未说明。
