The improvement is uneven. Smoke haze from Kalimantan was still drifting into parts of Sarawak on Sunday, and conditions may change with wind and rainfall. The old Batang Layar Bridge in Betong has been closed since Sept 4 and may stay shut for up to two weeks while safety repairs are carried out.
