The cafe is a remake of the earlier Sister Cafe that stood behind the present site. Reopening under a new name brought a fresher dining room and a revised menu, while the family’s food-and-hospitality tradition still reaches back several generations. That makes the move part of the story, not just a change of signboard.
Customer notes repeatedly point to the butter chicken, prawn or pork rice sets and tomato kueh tiaw; another recurring detail is wok hei in the fried rice. I would choose a rice set when the table wants something familiar, and tomato kueh tiaw when you want the meal to feel more distinctly local. Reviews also warn that some zhu char dishes can lean heavily on MSG, so this is a place where ordering selectively pays off.
